Audition FAQs

Audition dates are February 24th, 25th, and 26th at 158 Laurel Avenue, Northport (Brosnan Building), from 7pm-9pm. There are no scheduled appointment times; sign in when you arrive.

Come prepared to sing 16-32 bars from the musical of your choice. Bring sheet music.

There will be a dance audition on February 27 for anyone auditioning for Nancy, Fagin, Bet, and the Artful Dodger. Anyone wishing to be considered as a featured Fagin’s Gang Dancer (5th-12th grade) and/or Tavern Dancer (adults and 8th-12th graders), should also attend.

Callbacks will also occur on February 27th.

Some roles may be cast as either gender. There will be double casting of some roles. Recurring multiple weekly conflicts will impact casting decisions.

Rehearsals are generally Monday-Thursday evenings. There will also be at least 2 Friday rehearsals.

Tech Week rehearsals will end at 10:00 PM.

The number of weekly rehearsals will vary depending on your role. Music and dance are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Rehearsal times are 6:30-8:30 for most children and 6:30-9:00 for adults.

Rehearsal times will increase during April and May.

There is a mandatory all-day rehearsal on Saturday, April 26th from 9-4, including a preview performance at Firefly Artists.

All cast will be needed nightly beginning April 21st.

Weekly conflicts will not be accepted beginning April 21st, except for mandatory school activities or work meetings.

No conflicts are accepted for Tech Week.

There is no fee for participating in this show.

There are multiple options for the funding of your costumes.

We also welcome middle school students and older to help with set painting and stage crew.
